While working with another designer in Sewickley, PA Deborah  was  challenged by a wide variety of window treatment jobs. "It was one  of the toughest areas in the field, but the impact that window dressings had on a room was so gratifying; even in cases where the furnishings and accessories had not been completed, the room still looked finished once the windows were treated. I started to feel like I was designing couture for windows. If your room is formal, the  window dressing can be like a ballgown, but if  we are working on a family room it can be more like khakis. Casual room treatments, like a playroom or a child's bedroom, would be like a pair of your favorite jeans. There are all  kinds of rooms and an infinite variety treatments, so windows are always exciting."

"There are times when people are in the middle of a design project before they find out that their current designer doesn't specialize in windows--No problem! Because of my background and business approach, other design specialists (floral designers, kitchen & bath, flooring and furniture designers among them) are not my competition, they are my peers and my business associates. I work alongside other designers all the time in an effort to bring a large project together. It just so happens that as much as I love designing interiors, I really enjoy windows."

"Quality customer service is of the utmost importance to me-especially because it seems so rare in the business world today. I am with my clients every step of the way from the initial consultation to installation to ensure total customer satisfaction--that is always my goal."
Deborah grew up helping her parents with a family-owned and operated business. She credits her hard working father with instilling in her the true value of sound business practice and providing the best in customer service. After graduating with a degree in interior design, she then had the good fortune of beginning her design career with another family-owned business that had the same personal touch.

"I love what I do for a living and clients tell me all the time that it shows. Besides, I'm aware of the emotional and financial investment this represents to my clients, so there's never any pressure--the client needs to feel that everything is just right before we finalize the design."
"It's nice to design something that actually enhances someone's personal space--I like the fact that what I do helps people relax and feel good in their own home."
